1. What infrastructure does Sify have for providing remote infrastructure management services?

Sify has primary command centers in Chennai, and secondary centers in Bangalore and Mumbai. These GMOCs have an availability of 99.99%. Sify also leverages a global network infrastructure, over which our services would be provided.

2. Where is Sify's primary NOC located? What is the back up for this?

Sify has its primary command centers in Chennai, and secondary back up centers in Bangalore and Mumbai.

3. How does Sify address security and confidentiality requirements of my business?

Sify follows stringent policies on information security and intellectual property. Sify's security task force (STF) constantly monitors and manages security operations for both our customers and us. The task force is responsible for identifying and addressing security issues in the infrastructure.

4. What tools does Sify use in providing Remote infrastructure management services?

Sify brings its own integrated set of service tools:

  • Sify NMS – a comprehensive enterprise system management tool
  • Sify IONI – Sify’s management portal
  • Sify Infodesk – Sify’s trouble ticketing system

Sify also has capabilities in various leading tools for monitoring and management of infrastructure such as Unicenter TNG, HP Openview, IBM Tivoli and BMC Patrol, to name a few.

Sify's in-house set of tools, integrate well with the leading commercial products.

5. My organization has already invested in tools such as HP OpenView and Remedy? What will be Sify's approach to remote services in this situation?

Sify provides you with two options.

  • You can continue to use HP OpenView and Remedy. Sify has the necessary skills in HP Openview & Remedy, but you will need to extend licenses for HP Openview & Remedy to Sify, and provide us access to your global network
  • Sify can provide services using our own in-house set of tools for infrastructure management and reporting

6. Can Sify's service tools be integrated to work with our existing licensed tools such as HP OpenView or CA Unicenter?

Yes. Sify's service tools like Sify NMS and Sify IONI can be integrated with your existing licensed tools.
